ABOUT
ABOUT ME

Besides my dual curriculum including a scientific education and a training to become a professional pilot, my enthusiasm for aviation motivated me to additionally act as a tutor, theory- and as a flight instructor for private pilot students. In doing so, it is easy for me to motivate my fellow human beings and to contribute to the development of synergies in groups as well as to advocate for reaching the goals set. That became apparent during my role as a first officer, tutor for groups of students and during my voluntary work as head of airfield operations managers in my aero club. This is where I gained experience and applied my leadership and social competence, such as determination and empathy.

WHAT I'VE BEEN INVOLVED IN
  • Turbulence Models and their Dynamics for use in Flight Simulators

  • Flight Tests with an Airbus A320 including Trailing Cone verifications and measurements

  • Evaluation of an innovative technique to monitor the altitude indication of airborne air data systems

  • Altimetry System Error (ASE) and Numerical Weather Prediction

  • Airline Safety Management System and internal Investigations

AWARDED

The Karl-Doetsch-Prize for Young Scientists by the Aeronautics Research Centre Niedersachsen, a joint scientific union of the research institutes of aerospace and aeronautics at Technical University Braunschweig, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Leibnitz University in Hannover.

WHAT I DO

My activities include an active role as an airline pilot on Airbus A330 (previously Boeing B757-300, B767-300ER and B737-800), theory instruction for various types of private and commercial pilot licences, flight instruction on single engine piston (SEP) aircraft, duties such as incident investigations, hazard identification, classification and handling of air safety reports, safety recommendations and safety promotion within the aviation safety management system of a complex organisation according to EASA requirements. Additional research activities include publications  within the scope of computer based self-learning and flight test engineering.
